on june 18, the fifth batch of the "wanhe" tourism group under the "ten thousand people travel to xinjiang" series of activities departs from hefei railway station to support xinjiang's development. the event was hosted by the anhui provincial aid to xizang and xinjiang office, anhui provincial department of culture and tourism, and the hotan regional administrative office. a total of 426 passengers boarded flights and trains to urumqi, xinjiang, embarking on an exciting journey through northern and southern xinjiang. during the trip, tourists will explore the regions north and south of the tianshan mountains, experiencing the serene beauty of mountain lakes, the unique landscapes of the yardang landform, the majestic sight of desert, and the vast expanse of the ili grasslands. they will witness the magnificent interplay of grasslands and snow-capped mountains, delve into the rich historical heritage of the old city of kashgar, and savor the distinctive foods of the hotan night market. the hotan regional culture and tourism bureau has also specially arranged exclusive "wanhe" song and dance performances and other experiential, interactive activities to showcase the new trends of ethnic integration and warmly welcome anhui tourists. it is understood that the 2024 "ten thousand people travel to xinjiang" series of tourism projects will run from july to december, featuring xinjiang as the destination. a variety of themed products will be gradually launched, including air travel, special trains within xinjiang, self-driving tours, and more. the project primarily includes five major categories: the "wanhe" tourism special train, sightseeing tours, leisure vacations, special interest tourism, and customized themed tours, totaling nearly 50 different travel routes. the aim is to deepen interactions and exchanges, promote ethnic unity, and enhance mutual ethnic affection.
