despite the epidemic outbreak in china, progress has been made in the construction of the beijing-hong kong high-speed rail hefei-anqing section.as the last pair of long steel tracks were laid in anqing city, the track-laying work has come to an end.the hefei-anqing section has a length of 162 kilometers, with a designed speed of 350 km per hour.the west hefei-anqing part is expected to be put into operation in early april. then, journey time from hefei to anqing will be shortened from the current 2 hours to 40 minutes.
