culture and tourism watchdogs in shanghai, jiangsu, zhejiang and anhui released more than 50 tasks for 2022 at a recent meeting, calling for joint efforts to promote the development of culture and tourism in the yangtze river delta region. the region, consisting of the municipality of shanghai and jiangsu, zhejiang and anhui provinces, will set up three alliances this year to protect large archaeological sites and archaeological site parks, standardize public libraries, and give regional art tests, respectively. meanwhile, the municipality and the provinces will launch ten art events, such as a painting and photography exhibition, a chinese instrumental music composition contest, and a pop music competition. shanghai, jiangsu, zhejiang and anhui will also work together to protect cultural relics. they will hold the 2022 china grand canal tourism conference, the 3rd yangtze river delta intangible cultural heritage exhibition, and the 2nd lingjiatan cultural forum during the year. they will cooperate in developing tourist attractions. in addition, tourism expos and meetings will be held.
