from thursday to sunday, heavy rain or storms will hit regions along the huaihe river and the yangtze river, according to the anhui provincial meteorological center.
rainfall could exceed 150 mm per hour in some regions, the center said.
in a notice issued on wednesday, the local government urged flood control departments in affected areas to keep an eye on the weather and take precautionary measures to prevent flooding and other possible natural disasters, in order to guarantee the safety of people’s lives and property.
