china plans to add fuxing bullet trains on the beijing-shanghai high-speed railway next month, cutting 25 minutes off the time on the journey between beijing and hefei, capital of east china’s anhui province, rail authorities said on thursday.
the move will bring the total number of fuxing bullet trains between beijing and shanghai to 15 pairs , from the current 7 pairs, according to the shanghai branch of china railway corp.
out of the 8 new train services, 2 pairs will run from hefei to beijing and the rest will leave beijing for hefei, according to a new train service schedule that will take effect on april 10.
with fuxing, or rejuvenation ,china’s domestically developed new generation of bullet trains with a design speed of 350 km/h, the fastest service will take 3 hours and 35 minutes between hefei and the chinese capital.
