on november 30, the first phase of datang feidong photovoltaic power station, located in feidong county, hefei city, was officially connected into the hefei power grid. the photovoltaic power station is expected to operating with the grid around the new year's day, generating more than 70 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually. compared with thermal power plants of the same generation, it will save 24,100 tons of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 40,000 tons.
as the most famous photovoltaic power city in china, hefei adheres to the "five development concepts" of innovation, coordination, green, openness and sharing in energy development policy. hefei supports photovoltaic poverty alleviation in rural areas by firstly setting a series of photovoltaic subsidy policy in china. by the end of october this year, hefei's grid-connected photovoltaic (pv) capacity had reached 2,624.16 megawatt which became first among provincial capitals in china; the electricity generated ensures the energy needs of the society. behind the safe operation of power grid, it is indispensable for power management platform to standardize and efficiently operate new energy. hefei power supply company has built a new energy regulation and operation management platform to continuously optimize the service process and shorten the grid connection time of photovoltaic power stations. in conjunction with the construction of large-scale photovoltaic power stations, china has simultaneously built new power transmission lines in key townships to enhance stable consumption of new energy and achieve the win-win situation of environmental protection and rural revitalization.
