three individuals and two organizations from east china’s anhui province, were shortlisted for national anti-poverty awards on thursday, according to the provincial office of poverty alleviation.
ji daoming, a rural resident in shucheng county, wu wubing, head of an agricultural company, and xu dongmei, an anti-poverty official in yingquan district of fuyang were nominated for the awards in recognition of their contributions to poverty relief.
also among the candidates were two agencies: the government of jinzhai county and the organization department of the suzhou municipal committee of the communist party of china (cpc), said the office.
the list of award-winners is slated to be finalized in late august, with 100 individuals and 40 organizations to be picked around the country.
