on october 21, reporters learned from the anhui provincial investment group's railway investment company that with the opening of the xuancheng-jixi high-speed railway, our province's railway operating mileage has reached 5737 kilometers, including 2773 kilometers of high-speed rail, ranking first in the yangtze river delta and among the top nationwide. it is expected that by 2025, the total railway mileage in the province will reach about 6000 kilometers, including approximately 3000 kilometers of high-speed rail. by 2030, the province's railway operating mileage will exceed 7000 kilometers, with high-speed rail reaching 4000 kilometers, covering over 90% of counties, and the high-speed railway network extending to over 80% of counties. by then, hefei, the provincial capital, will have high-speed rail direct access to all prefecture-level cities, essentially forming a "1234" high-speed rail travel circle that allows for 1-hour travel between cities within the province, 2 hours to cities in the yangtze river delta region, 3 hours to cities in the central region, and 4 hours to beijing-tianjin-hebei, guangdong-hong kong-macao greater bay area, and some cities in the western part of china. it is reported that currently, a number of railway projects under construction in our province are being accelerated.
