the national development and reform commission has issued the list of national logistics hub construction projects for 2024, with anqing port-based national logistics hub and fuyang commercial service-based national logistics hub in anhui province selected. with this, our province now has a total of six national logistics hubs, ranking among the top nationwide. the anqing hub leverages the wanhe and changfeng operation areas to build a high-quality port-side industrial system, strengthening the hub's integrated development with the automotive and parts, and new chemical materials industries. it aims to become a strategic fulcrum for coordinated development in the eastern and central regions, a multimodal transportation organization center on the yangtze river economic belt, and a regional modern logistics supply chain organization center. the hub covers a total area of 3.93 square kilometers, with a planned total investment of 8.575 billion yuan. a cumulative investment of 4.875 billion yuan has been made so far. currently, it operates 11 container shipping routes, handling 95,000 teus in the first half of this year. the fuyang hub relies on the anhui (fuyang) railway international logistics port and huayuan national demonstration logistics park among others, vigorously developing cold chain logistics, bulk commodity logistics, pharmaceutical logistics, comprehensive logistics, e-commerce logistics, emergency logistics, and integrated information services. the hub occupies a total area of 6.26 square kilometers, with a planned total investment of 7.73 billion yuan. an investment of 5.37 billion yuan has already been completed. in the first half of this year, it achieved a business income of 12.5 billion yuan and handled 92.357 million parcels in express delivery services. next steps include accelerating the enhancement of hub capacity to efficiently integrate into the national logistics hub network. this effort aims to build a logistics hub linking the yangtze river delta and the central region, establish a highly efficient and smooth modern logistics system, and provide strong support for effectively reducing the overall societal logistics costs.
