on october 7, the anhui provincial department of culture and tourism announced that during the national day holiday, the province focused on the theme "beautiful anhui holiday · joyful national day," carefully presenting over 3,000 cultural and tourism events, including leisure tourism, cultural exhibitions, artistic performances, special festivals, and intangible cultural heritage experiences. a total of 689 a-level tourist attractions welcomed 18.779 million visits, generating ticket revenue of 278.569 million yuan. 
in comparable terms, the number of visitors and ticket revenue at a-level attractions and above in the province increased by 18.6% and 23.7%, respectively. tourism at the great yellow mountain area continues to rise, with the four cities of huangshan, chizhou, anqing, and xuancheng seeing 34.4% of the total visitors to a-level attractions and above, an increase of 0.9 percentage points year-on-year. the leading role of these cities is becoming more evident. the huangshan scenic area, jiuhua mountain scenic area, and tianzhu mountain scenic area received 192,000, 274,000, and 210,000 visitors, respectively, representing year-on-year growth of 14.1%, 16%, and 16.8%. the yixian international rural tourism resort welcomed 727,000 visits, averaging over 100,000 visits per day for five consecutive days. interest in cultural tourism remains strong. the "cultural heritage fever," "intangible cultural heritage enthusiasm," and "national trend popularity" continue to rise, with major museums and cultural markets bustling with visitors. cultural heritage is shining with new brilliance and charm through its integration with modern life. surveys indicate that over 70% of tourists participated in cultural activities during the holiday, with per capita spending on cultural products accounting for nearly 20% of total shopping expenses. 
county tourism is experiencing robust growth. a wave of young people seeking relaxation is heading to counties and rural areas. with the red hues of the chinese tallow trees in tachuan village, yixian, the branches of the fragrant pear trees in dangshan county laden with fruit, and the rich aroma of old goose soup in hanshan county, these "hidden gem towns" and "beautiful anhui villages" have become popular choices. rural tourism accounted for 50.9% of the province's total visitor volume. a survey of 100 key "beautiful anhui homestays" recorded a total of 39,000 visits, an increase of 5.9% year-on-year.
