on september 12, the 2024 china international fair for trade in services (ciftis) officially commenced. looking at the yangtze river delta region, in the first half of this year, shanghai's service industry import and export volume accounted for about one-quarter of the national total; zhejiang maintained double-digit growth in service trade; while the economically robust jiangsu province placed significant emphasis on service trade. anhui, following the national pace, is also experiencing steady growth in service trade, with continuous optimization of its structure, gradually becoming a new engine for foreign trade development and a new driving force for opening up. 
at this year’s ciftis, anhui organized 18 representative enterprises from hefei, wuhu, huainan, and bengbu, such as easpeed, anhui publishing group, and 37 interactive entertainment, to showcase their strengths and present the new achievements, technologies, and applications in service trade development. additionally, at the ai and technology empowerment section of the education service exhibition area in hall 7 of the shougang park in beijing, iflytek showcased its comprehensive ai product system and services covering all educational scenarios. 
data shows that anhui’s service trade import and export volume increased from 38.52 billion yuan in 2021 to 50.12 billion yuan in 2023, achieving an annual growth rate of 14%. a service trade innovation development open platform characterized by "one pilot, one demonstration, multiple bases" has gradually been established. two enterprises were selected as part of the first 30 national key enterprises for the information technology outsourcing and integrated development of manufacturing industry, and 27 enterprises along with two projects were included in the 2023-2024 national key cultural export enterprises and projects. in the first half of this year, the province's service trade import and export volume reached 29.28 billion yuan, marking a growth of 26.9%, continuing the upward trend. source: anhuinews.com
