reporters learned from the foreign affairs office of hefei municipal people’s government that recently, the korea tourism organization held a tourism promotion event and a re-opening ceremony in hefei. after four years, korean air will resume its hefei-incheon route on august 19th. at the event, the organizers introduced new highlights for traveling to south korea and announced the resumption date and specific operational plans for the korean air hefei-incheon route. since the inauguration of the hefei-incheon route in 2015, the overall operation of the flights was relatively good until the suspension of this route in 2020. the restarted route is defined as a business route with a total flight time of only about 2 hours and 40 minutes, planning to operate five flights per week, specifically on mondays, wednesdays, thursdays, saturdays, and sundays. "south korea boasts a wealth of tourism resources and a profound cultural heritage. this resumption of flights will facilitate personnel exchanges between the two places and promote practical cooperation in multiple fields such as economy, industry, and cultural tourism," said a relevant person in charge from the foreign affairs office of hefei municipal people’s government. they expressed hope that this resumption of flights will serve as an opportunity to further deepen exchanges with south korea, create new highlights for cooperation, and open up new prospects for cultural and tourism exchange and cooperation between the two places.
