on july 13-14, the 1st anhui provincial university contest on intelligent robotic innovations and the 7th national university contest on intelligent robotic innovations - anhui regional competition were held at the anhui university. the competition was hosted by the organizing committee of anhui provincial university contest on intelligent robotic innovations, and organized by the office of academic affairs and the school of artificial intelligence of the anhui university. the competition attracted over 100 teams from 13 universities in the province to showcase their innovative intelligent robot achievements. 
the 1st anhui provincial university contest on intelligent robotic innovations featured an on-site competition with the theme "creative design: home intelligent robots - making life better", divided into two categories - "virtual modeling" and "self-made physical model". the competition stage featured a variety of creative ideas and works, showcasing the innovative thinking and practical abilities of the participating students. "in our daily life, the drains in our kitchen and bathroom are often clogged, and manual unclogging can be troublesome, so we designed this small robot," a participant from the anhui university introduced. the small home pipe cleaning robot designed by his team is expected to become a "helpful assistant" for many households in the future, reducing labor costs and achieving better cleaning results. the national university contest on intelligent robotic innovations was established in 2017 and has been held for 6 consecutive sessions. in 2020, it was included in the national ranking of university student competitions published by the chinese association of higher education.
