on july 10th, french multinational company alstom made a significant move in its industrial layout in china by officially opening its new joint venture, hefei alstom rail transport equipment co., ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "hatee"), in the hefei xinzhan high-tech industrial development zone. the french ambassador to china, bertrand lortholary, attended the opening ceremony, cutting the ribbon for the new factory alongside other guests and unveiling the equipment set to be delivered for hefei metro line 8. the traction system is the core power source of rail trains, responsible for converting electrical energy into mechanical energy to drive the train. hatee will establish a base for the engineering design, manufacturing, project management, and lifecycle maintenance services of vehicle traction systems and components, producing new metro vehicle traction systems. managing director of alstom china, ming geng, said that besides serving the local market in hefei and the national market, hatee will gradually undertake the capacity transfer of alstom china's export supporting business as planned, providing traction systems for its global projects. this will gradually achieve the industrial goal of transitioning from "hefei metro, hefei made" to "from hefei, serving the world." this year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between china and france. as a "jewel" of french manufacturing and the world's second-largest provider of rail transport equipment solutions, alstom is an important participant and contributor to sino-french friendly cooperation.
