on may 31, ctrip's reputation ranking released the "top 100 asia travel destinations in 2024", with hefei making the list. other cities that also made the list include beijing, hangzhou, and hong kong. the selection criteria for the "top 100 asia travel destinations" was based on the popularity of the destinations, visitor traffic, search volume, and related order volume, with the top 100 asian tourist cities selected.
hefei's cultural tourism industry is continuously booming. during the may day holiday, hefei's hotel booking growth rate ranked first among all provincial capital cities in china. in june, hefei will also host several exciting performances and a themed crayfish & beer festival, continuously building the hefei city cultural tourism brand.
ctrip's data shows that during the period around children's day (may 31 to june 2), family travel orders have increased by around 80% year-on-year, with local and nearby travel becoming more popular, doubling year-on-year. the top family travel destinations are beijing, shanghai, chengdu, changsha, guangzhou, hangzhou, shenzhen, nanjing, chongqing, tianjin, xi'an, wuhan, nanchang, hefei, and shenyang. among provincial capital cities, nanchang, hefei, changsha, nanjing, and zhengzhou have seen higher growth rates in family travel orders, all more than doubling year-on-year.
among the top family travel attractions nationwide, hefei sunac water park, beijing universal resort, shanghai disneyland resort, shanghai haichang ocean park, the national museum of china, and the palace museum rank highly for family travel.
