the reporter learned from the anhui provincial postal administration on november 7 that from january to september, anhui province's express delivery volume reached 2.531 billion pieces, an increase of 16.03% year-on-year, and the growth rate ranked first in the yangtze river delta and sixth in the country; express business revenue totaled 17.114 billion yuan (about 2.36 billion u.s. dollars), up 17.77% year on year. in the first three quarters, the express postal industry in the province maintained a stable and orderly state. anhui's postal delivery volume reached 3.632 billion pieces, a year-on-year increase of 17.77%; the revenue of the postal industry was 26.532 billion yuan (about 3.65 billion u.s. dollars), a year-on-year increase of 11.86%. it is estimated that in 2022, anhui's postal express industry will support more than 365 billion yuan (about 50.33 billion u.s. dollars) of online retail sales of consumer goods and will reduce circulation costs by more than 10.2 billion yuan for economic and social development. this year, anhui's postal management department has vigorously implemented the policy of "attracting talents and investment simultaneously", accelerated the construction of key projects, promoted the construction of intelligent transshipment centers integrating sorting and cold chain storage, and guided the intelligent upgrading of the existing postal transshipment centers. there are six key projects newly started or under construction in the province, with a total planned investment of 5.76 billion yuan and a total area of 1444.3 mu (about 0.96 square kilometers).
