in recent years, anhui has been firmly grasping the "primary task" of high-quality development and the "key task" of new industrialization. from january to july, the industrial added value above designated size in anhui province increased by 8.5% year-on-year, which is 2.6 percentage points higher than the national average and 1.3 percentage points higher than the same period last year, ranking 5th nationwide, 1st among the yangtze river delta, central region, and major industrial provinces. industrial investment, manufacturing investment, and technological upgrade investment grew by 17%, 14.8%, and 28.3% respectively, which are 4.5, 5.5, and 16.6 percentage points higher than the national average. among them, the growth rates of industrial investment and technological upgrade investment ranked 8th and 4th nationwide, respectively. anhui has been strengthening the construction of innovation platforms, with the manufacturing innovation system centered on enterprises being rapidly established. it boasts three national manufacturing innovation centers. it has strived to create 44 national technology innovation demonstration enterprises, ranking sixth nationwide. anhui focuses on key industrial chains, promoting the effective connection and synergistic efforts of "industrial chain → value chain → innovation chain → enterprise chain → product chain → factor chain," highlighting key links and iconic products in industrial chains. anhui has been continuously advancing the construction of 5g digital infrastructure. in the first half of the year, 16,000 new 5g base stations were built, accumulating a total of 138,000, ranking among the top in the nation. anhui has been promoting the empowerment of new industrialization through artificial intelligence. anhui has developed an action plan for ai-enabled new industrialization and launches the "ai " initiative to create an ecosystem of "large models software development". the world manufacturing convention has been held in anhui at a high level for six consecutive years, becoming an important window and platform for showcasing china's advanced manufacturing achievements and promoting international cooperation in manufacturing.
