autumn grain harvest is the main part of the annual grain production, and the current autumn harvesting and planting work in anhui province is steadily progressing. according to information from the provincial department of agriculture and rural affairs, as of 17:00 on october 29, the province had harvested an autumn grain area of 56.224 million mu, with a progress of 87.1%. among them, the single-season rice area was 26.458 million mu, with a progress of 82.1%, and the harvesting of corn and soybeans has concluded. at the same time, the autumn planting progress in various regions is smooth. as of 17:00 on october 29, the planned wheat planting area for the province was 43.346 million mu, with 31.2694 million mu already planted, achieving a progress of 72.14%; the planned rapeseed area was 7.4008 million mu, with 7.2788 million mu already planted, reaching a progress of 98.35%. during the autumn planting period, our province has intensified the application of smart agricultural machinery, promoted the removal of straw from fields, carried out precision land preparation operations, and expanded the area of integrated rotary tillage, fertilization, sowing, and compaction operations. based on the characteristics of varieties, climatic conditions, and soil moisture status, we have reasonably determined the sowing amount and timing to achieve full seedling emergence at once. according to local actual conditions, we control the wheat sowing amount, adopt timely late sowing to prevent excessive growth before winter, increase the planting density of rapeseed. we promote technical models such as integration of water and fertilizer, improve the utilization rate of chemical fertilizers, and take measures such as seed coating and pesticide seed treatment to control seedling diseases and underground pests.
