on october 27, during an interview in ma'anshan city, it was reported that the lingjiatan relics site museum will officially open to the public in april next year. using "lingjiatan" as a brand, ma'anshan city and hanshan county are working to develop a strong ecological civilization brand. since 1987, lingjiatan has undergone 15 archaeological excavations. in 2024, the local government successfully secured 2,000 square meters for excavation from the national cultural heritage administration, which will be implemented over two years. tang jun, director of the lingjiatan relics site management office in hanshan county, stated, "in the construction of the lingjiatan national archaeological site park, we are coordinating the protection of the site itself with the surrounding ecological environment to ensure the authenticity and integrity of the lingjiatan site." the park is planned to cover an area of 3.35 square kilometers, with a total planned investment of 2 billion yuan. so far, 1.15 billion yuan has been invested, attracting approximately 1.2 million visits and generating about 100 million yuan in tourism revenue. "we are accelerating the construction of the site museum and other projects, striving to create a model for protecting, inheriting, and promoting excellent traditional chinese culture," tang jun explained. in line with the actual situation of the lingjiatan national archaeological site park, they have applied for and implemented an enhancement project for the park. "the museum will be completed and open in april next year, allowing visitors to see the new exhibition hall during the may day holiday." currently, many of the artifacts seen by visitors at the lingjiatan national archaeological site park are replicas. "once the museum opens, audiences will be able to see the real artifacts," tang jun added. the lingjiatan site museum will have a total construction area of 11,000 square meters, with an exhibition area of about 3,400 square meters. the museum plans to collect over 1,000 cultural relics, focusing on the lingjiatan site and culture, connecting the prehistoric cultural developments of the western liaohe river, yellow river, and yangtze river basins, showcasing the brilliance of lingjiatan culture and the important role of the lingjiatan site in the development of chinese civilization.
