latest statistical data shows that from january to september this year, the industrial added value above designated size in anhui province grew by 8.8% year-on-year, which is 3 percentage points higher than the national average and ranks fourth in the country, first among the yangtze river delta region, central china, and major industrial provinces. specifically, the growth rate in september reached 11.5%, ranking second nationwide and marking the highest increase since april 2021. from the perspective of industrial structure, in the first three quarters, the output value of anhui's strategic emerging industries accounted for 43.7% of the industries above designated size, an increase of 1.7 percentage points from the same period last year; while the added value of the six major high-energy-consuming industries dropped from over 30% in the same period last year to below 27%, demonstrating significant achievements in high-quality and green development. from the perspective of industries with competitive advantages, the electronic information manufacturing industry and the automobile manufacturing industry continued to maintain rapid growth, and the contribution rate of these two industries to the growth of industrial added value above designated size in the province was close to half. among them, automobile production has nearly equaled last year's total, and new energy vehicle production is 1.3 times that of last year's total. in terms of development potential, anhui's industrial investment and technological upgrading investment increased by more than 16% and 25% year-on-year, respectively. in the first nine months of this year, the province added 2,300 new industrial enterprises above designated size, with a cumulative increase of over 8,000 in the past three years. continuous expansion of effective investments has accumulated strong new momentum for enhancing the quality, scale, and efficiency of anhui's manufacturing industry.
