striving for innovation, anhui is vigorously writing a vivid chapter on accelerating the cultivation and expansion of new quality productive forces tailored to local conditions. at present, the province has gathered seven whole vehicle enterprises including chery, nio, volkswagen, byd, and jac group, along with more than 1,360 supporting enterprises above designated size. it has established a complete industrial chain system encompassing whole vehicles, engines, car bodies, chassis, etc., essentially forming an integrated development pattern with hefei and wuhu as the "dual cores" and other regions providing multipoint support. from january to august this year, the province produced 2.116 million vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 44.8%, accounting for 11.3% of the national total, ranking second in the country. it's not just the automotive industry that boasts impressive momentum. in recent years, following the path of "leading enterprises—industrial chains—industrial clusters—industrial ecology," anhui has vigorously implemented strategic emerging industrial cluster development projects, perfected policies to promote the development of ten major strategic emerging industries, and driven a number of emerging industries to form clusters and gain momentum. by the end of 2023, anhui had 12 companies in the advanced photovoltaic storage sector with annual revenue exceeding 10 billion yuan each. in 2023, the revenue scale of the photovoltaic manufacturing industry jumped to third place nationwide. from january to april this year, the production of n-type photovoltaic cells in anhui accounted for 98% of the total cell output, more than 20 percentage points higher than the national average. currently, anhui has cumulatively cultivated one national-level advanced manufacturing cluster and ten provincial-level advanced manufacturing clusters.
