anhui is one of china’s key tea-producing provinces, renowned for its diverse varieties and high quality. tea produced in anhui has performed exceptionally well in the african market, with sales continuing to rise. this not only boosts the development of anhui's tea economy but also enhances the confidence and motivation of anhui tea companies to expand into overseas markets like africa. in the first seven months of this year, huangshan city exported tea worth 680 million yuan to africa, accounting for 90.7% of the city’s total tea export value during the same period. ghana, mauritania, and algeria are the top three trading partners. "we rely on the national key tea laboratory to undertake routine testing for green pest control across 800,000 mu of tea gardens. we collect information on changes in overseas tea standards and provide dynamic inspection and quarantine information to help the tea industry achieve high-quality development from the source. at the same time, we work with local government departments to open sea-rail intermodal transport routes from 'huangshan to ningbo zhoushan port' and 'huangshan to shanghai port,' reducing logistics costs for tea companies by over 15% and improving transport efficiency by 20%," said a representative from huangshan customs. so far this year, the total value of tea exports from anhui has reached 970 million yuan. "the strong sales of anhui tea in the african market not only present significant overseas market opportunities for the anhui tea industry but also lay a solid foundation for the international development of anhui tea," said a representative from hefei customs. moving forward, efforts will continue in enhancing supervision efficiency and facilitating customs clearance to support anhui tea in entering the international market.
