on august 22, reporters learned from hefei customs that in july, anhui province's total import and export value with the eu reached 11.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 38.6%, marking the highest point in nearly 19 months. among them, anhui imported 3.44 billion yuan worth of electromechanical products from the eu, a year-on-year increase of 362.1%. the eu is anhui's largest foreign trade partner. the economic and trade relationship between anhui and the eu continues to heat up, bringing tangible win-win results for both sides in promoting industrial development and enhancing people's livelihoods. in july, anhui exported 5.5 billion yuan worth of electromechanical products to the eu, including 1.19 billion yuan in automobile exports, a year-on-year increase of 366.4%. anhui's automobile industry is thriving and accelerating its global expansion, with the eu becoming a direct beneficiary. in april of this year, chery automobile signed a contract for its factory project in spain, with an expected annual production of 50,000 vehicles by 2027, creating over 1,200 jobs locally. as "anhui manufacturing" enters the eu market, anhui has also become an important export destination for eu products. the eu has many developed countries with strong manufacturing capabilities, leading the world in high-end equipment and precision instrument research and development. it is an important partner in the supply chain of anhui's manufacturing industry. in july, the amount of advanced manufacturing equipment imported by anhui from the eu increased by 1797.6% year-on-year.
