since the beginning of this year, with the continuous optimization and upgrading of the industrial and supply chains across the province, the vitality of various market entities has been enhanced. anhui continues to introduce new supplies that meet international market demands, with the import and export of mechanical and electronic products showing impressive performance and the structure of foreign trade development in the province continuously improving. mechanical and electrical products have always been the main exports of anhui. relying on technological innovation, anhui's foreign trade industry is accelerating its transformation towards high-end, intelligent, and green development, continuously expanding into overseas markets. in the first seven months, the province exported mechanical and electrical products worth 223.94 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12%, accounting for nearly 70% of the total exports. among them, there was rapid growth in automobiles and auto parts, automatic data processing equipment and its components, household appliances, etc. the combined exports of "new trio" products such as electric passenger vehicles, lithium-ion batteries, and photovoltaic products amounted to 27.34 billion yuan, up by 7.3% year-on-year. the "new trio" and "old trio" products continue to refresh globally, and anhui's "old friends and new friends" are also constantly expanding across the world map. since the beginning of this year, anhui has seen an increase in imports and exports to its top three trading partners: the european union, the united states, and asean. in the first seven months, imports and exports to countries involved in the belt and road initiative reached 237.09 billion yuan, up by 4.2% year-on-year. in the first seven months of this year, anhui's total import and export value of goods trade reached 475.89 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.4%. in july alone, anhui's imports and exports amounted to 78.63 billion yuan, up by 7.1% year-on-year, setting a new historical record. in the first seven months and in july, anhui's import and export volume ranked 9th nationwide and 1st in central china.
