in the process of green development, anhui focuses on attracting and cultivating new energy and energy-saving environmental protection industries. by leveraging the different resource endowments of various regions, it continuously extends the industrial chain map. through the drive of leading enterprises, it accelerates breakthroughs in key technologies and product innovation, promoting the clustered and high-end development of industries, injecting vigorous momentum into the comprehensive green transformation of our province's economic and social development. with the goal of achieving a comprehensive green transformation in economic and social development, anhui has been leveraging its technological and resource advantages since the beginning of this year to continuously cultivate new energy and energy-saving environmental protection industries. focusing on the five major sectors of new energy, high-efficiency energy conservation, advanced environmental protection, resource recycling, and carbon neutrality, it has increased the efforts to attract high-quality projects and accelerated the development of the industry towards clustering, high-end, and intelligent development. in particular, it has strengthened and improved six key industries in the new energy sector, including photovoltaics, wind energy, hydrogen energy, and energy storage. meanwhile, anhui is also accelerating the development of the northern anhui region, guiding the gathering of leading domestic and international enterprises, with a focus on laying out five industrial chains including hydrogen energy and advanced photovoltaics. the province aims to achieve an annual growth rate of over 20% in the output value of the new energy industry in the northern anhui region, with the total scale exceeding 200 billion yuan, transforming new energy into a driving force for the revitalization of northern anhui. as the industrial development continuously advances, in 2023, anhui's new energy and energy-saving environmental protection industries generated revenues exceeding 600 billion yuan, among which the photovoltaic manufacturing industry's revenue surpassed 290 billion yuan, leaping to third place nationwide. by 2025, the province plans for the output value of its new energy and energy-saving environmental protection industries to reach 850 billion yuan, positioning it at the forefront nationally in terms of industrial development scale. furthermore, it aims to establish six industrial bases with an annual output value of over 30 billion yuan each, form more than one national-level industrial cluster, and construct over ten national-level innovation platforms.
