on the evening of august 15, the highly anticipated "falcon cup" 2024 feidong summer membership men's basketball league and youth basketball competition adult group finals kicked off, attracting over 10,000 online and offline viewers, showcasing high enthusiasm and strong influence. this year's competition lasted nearly a month, featuring over a hundred group matches and knockout rounds. ultimately, the hefei university of technology team claimed the championship, while the shuanglong hotel team took the runner-up spot. with the conclusion of the awards ceremony, all awards, including third place, sports ethics award, excellent organization award, and finals mvp, were presented, marking a successful end to the tournament. 
this year's event is the 17th feidong summer basketball league, attracting 34 teams and over 500 basketball players from both within and outside the province, with nearly 100,000 viewers watched the game online and offline. 
in recent years, feidong county has placed a high emphasis on the development of sports, increasing annual funding for sports initiatives. it has established 30 various sports parks (squares), over 60 kilometers of fitness trails, 30 multi-functional fitness courts, 20 township-level farmers' fitness squares, 505 public fitness areas, 7 community fitness clubs, and 13 social sports football fields, achieving a per capita public sports facility area of 2.85 square meters, exceeding provincial and municipal averages.
