in the first half of the year, investment in anhui's transportation infrastructure construction steadily increased, with the acceleration of major transportation projects and continuous optimization and upgrading of the transportation network, providing strong support for the province's economic and social development. 
currently, the construction of the comprehensive transportation center and supporting projects at hefei xinqiao international airport is in full swing. this project is the first hub in the province that integrates civil aviation, high-speed rail, subways, and highways. the hefei metro line s1, which connects to the transportation center, has been fully topped out, and construction of the hefei-xinqiao-lu'an intercity railway is also progressing rapidly. the entire transportation center is expected to be completed and put into operation by 2026. as a significant livelihood project in anhui province, the hefei xinqiao international airport comprehensive transportation center aims to achieve seamless connections and efficient transfers among various transportation modes, including air, rail, and road. the planned hefei-xinqiao-lu'an intercity railway is a key line in the intercity rail transit network of the wanjiang urban belt, which will make the center an important transportation hub connecting the yangtze river delta and central regions. 
in the first half of this year, several key transportation projects, including the hefei xinqiao international airport, the chuzhou-hefei expressway, the lu'an section of the hexian-xiangyang expressway, the shouying section of the hefei-zhoukou expressway, and the renovation of the dongfei river lock for the project of leading water from yangtze river to huaihe river, have been accelerated, continuously enhancing anhui's transportation infrastructure. meanwhile, various cities in the province have continued to improve urban road "micro-circulation." recently, the fanchang district of wuhu city opened a fast track directly to the city center, providing a quick logistics channel for dozens of key enterprises along the route and facilitating citizens' travel. in the first half of the year, anhui province achieved a cumulative fixed asset investment in transportation of 75.39 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.6%. among them, investment in expressway construction reached 44.03 billion yuan, up 16.6% year-on-year; investment in civil aviation airports was 2.24 billion yuan, up 28%; and investment in water transport construction totaled 3.53 billion yuan, an increase of 7.2%.
