on june 30th, from 19:59 to 20:19, the bozhou airport held a "lighting" ceremony, signifying that the main construction project is essentially complete. during the "lighting" ceremony, key structures such as the central square of the airport terminal area, road parking lots, control towers, as well as the flight area's apron floodlighting system, runway lighting system, and approach lighting system were all illuminated. the various types of lights were turned on sequentially according to the arrival and departure of passengers. the person in charge at the site stated that this "lighting" signifies the basic completion of the main construction project for the newly built bozhou civil airport, showcasing the image of the airport's main construction project and demonstrating the achievements of the bozhou civil airport construction over more than a decade. the bozhou civil airport project has a total investment of about 1.08 billion yuan, covers an area of 2340.8 mu, and the construction scale of the airport project is classified as level 4c for flight areas. it includes a newly built 2600-meter runway with 8 parking positions and is expected to commence operations by the end of this year. once operational, the airport will be able to accommodate an annual passenger throughput of 1 million, a cargo and mail throughput of 2650 tons, and 6404 aircraft takeoffs and landings.
