recently, the 8th anhui traditional chinese medicine health, wellness, and elderly care development summit forum and expo was held in hefei. during the event, a plaque-awarding ceremony for the yangtze river delta health and wellness bases was conducted, and qiankou health and wellness town in huizhou district, huangshan city, was honored with the title of "2023 yangtze river delta health and wellness base of anhui province." 
qiankou health and wellness town is located on the southern slope of the huangshan scenic area and serves as an important hub for high-speed rail and expressway transport, as well as a tourism distribution center. qiankou is a cultural and tourist town with a thousand-year history, covering an area of 38.5 square kilometers and housing a population of 14,000. historically, it has been a significant commercial and cultural center in huizhou and one of the important birthplaces of xin'an medicine. in recent years, qiankou town has focused on the goal of becoming a "millennial ancient town for health and wellness," emphasizing project construction, talent cultivation, environmental optimization, and the deepening of the "health and wellness " development model, continually enhancing the brand of qiankou as a health and wellness destination in the great yellow mountain area. the town has been successively honored with titles such as "provincial-level featured town," "first batch of provincial-level healthy town," and "provincial-level health and wellness service industry demonstration park." 
moving forward, qiankou town will continue to focus on the theme of health and wellness, concentrating on six major industries to continuously enrich its industrial landscape. the town plans to develop a health and wellness street centered on traditional chinese medicine, a xin'an medicine and medicinal cuisine center, and to regularly invite renowned xin'an medical specialists to the town for consultations and teaching. additionally, it will actively host unique events such as the paste medicine festival, the dean's forum, and the qiankou health and wellness lecture series, further enhancing the brand of qiankou health and wellness town. these efforts aim to contribute to the construction of the great yellow mountain world-class leisure, vacation, and health tourism destination.
