recently, the hualong cave site exhibition hall in dongzhi county, anhui province, was included in the first batch of provincial-level quasi museums and incorporated into the anhui provincial quasi museum cultivation database. it is understood that "quasi museums" refer to social institutions that have some museum functions but have not yet met the registration and record-keeping requirements to be officially recognized as museums and open to the public under the name of museums. quasi museums mainly include various factory history museums, school history museums, village history museums, exhibition halls, art galleries, celebrity former residences, and art museums. "we have specially established a leadership group for the protection of the hualong cave site, added a hualong cave site management office within the county culture and tourism bureau, and strengthened the daily management of the hualong cave site. at the same time, we compiled the 'hualong cave site protection plan (2021-2035)' to regulate the protection, development, and utilization of the hualong cave site," a relevant official from the dongzhi county culture and tourism bureau explained. to better promote the protection and utilization of the hualong cave site, more than 11 million yuan has been invested in the renovation of the hualong cave site exhibition hall to display some important artifacts and research results unearthed in recent years. the exhibition hall has a total area of 8,300 square meters, including specialized exhibition areas such as the exhibition building, experts building, and science popularization building. it can host archaeological tours, study tours, and other science education activities and has invited well-known domestic and international experts and scholars to conduct on-site inspections more than ten times. it is reported that in addition to the hualong cave site exhibition hall, the qingyang opera museum in qingyang county and the qijingshan village history museum in shitai county have also been included in the anhui provincial quasi museum cultivation database.
