"the chizhou-huangshan high-speed railway commenced operations at the end of april, marking the entry of the greater huangshan region into the high-speed rail era," said du jun, deputy director of the huangshan municipal bureau of culture and tourism. he believes that the chizhou-huangshan high-speed railway has ended the history of no high-speed rail access in qingyang county of chizhou city and huangshan district of huangshan city. it connects at chizhou station and yixiandong station with the nanjing-anqing high-speed railway and the hangzhou-nanchang high-speed railway, respectively, directly bringing high-speed rail passengers to the doors of jiuhua mountain and mount huangshan. data indicates that during the "may day" holiday, huangshan city's high-speed rail stations handled a cumulative total of over 310,000 passenger trips, a year-on-year increase of 43.07%, with a significant growth in the long-distance travel market. according to statistics from the huangshan municipal bureau of culture and tourism: during the "may day" period, huangshan city received a total of 3.851 million tourist visits, a year-on-year increase of 15.82%, and achieved a total tourism revenue of 2.72 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 20.6%, both reaching historical highs.
