since the beginning of this year, with the continuous-policy implementation, anhui's industrial production has seen stable growth, and corporate benefits have been continuously improving. according to the latest data from the anhui provincial bureau of statistics, in the first quarter, the profits of industrial enterprises above designated size in the province increased by 29.8% year-on-year, accelerating by 22.7 percentage points compared to the previous year, and 25.5 percentage points higher than the national level. what factors contributed to the high growth rate of profits for industrial enterprises above designated size? the equipment manufacturing industry played a role as a "ballast stone" for profit growth. in the first quarter, the profits of the equipment manufacturing industry in the province surged by 90.1% year-on-year, which is 65.1 percentage points higher than the full year of the previous year, contributing 69.7% to the profit growth of all industrial enterprises above designated size. among them, the electronic information industry turned from a loss of 4.27 billion yuan in the same period last year to a profit of 1.24 billion yuan, and the profits of the automobile manufacturing industry increased by 2.6 times. additionally, the high-tech manufacturing sector contributed over fifty percent. the province has actively fostered and expanded new quality productive forces, accelerating the shaping of new developmental advantages, which enhanced the profitability of the high-tech manufacturing industry. in the first quarter, the high-tech manufacturing industry in the province turned from a loss in the same period last year to a profit of 2.99 billion yuan, contributing 51% to the profit growth of all industrial enterprises above designated size. profits in the consumer goods manufacturing industry shifted from decline to increase. with the deepening implementation of policies to expand domestic demand and promote consumption, coupled with the strong influence of the spring festival holiday, the consumer goods manufacturing industry realized a shift from decline to increase in profits. in the first quarter, the profits of the consumer goods manufacturing industry in the province changed from a decrease of 2.2% for the full year of the previous year to an increase of 16%, contributing 16% to the profit growth of all industrial enterprises above designated size. the profit growth of private industrial enterprises has accelerated. with the continuous optimization of the business environment and the effective implementation of various policies benefiting enterprises, the development of the private economy has achieved a good start. in the first quarter, the profits of private industrial enterprises in the province increased by 28.3% year-on-year, accelerating by 20.5 percentage points compared to the full year of the previous year, contributing 46.4% to the profit growth of all industrial enterprises above designated size.
