azalea ridge, located in gaofan village of tiechong township at an altitude of 450 meters, is backed by the towering jingangtai and has a small reservoir at its foot. to reach azalea ridge from meishan, navigate to the jingangtai station in tiechong township; the entrance to the azalea blooms is just across the concrete road. from late march to early may each year, the azaleas here blossom one after another, covering the hillsides. during the flowering season of azalea ridge, tourists travel thousands of miles to attend this grand springtime feast.
