in 2024, ma'anshan city has 115 projects listed in anhui province's key project list. these key projects cover multiple areas such as infrastructure, people's livelihood, and ecological environment management. the ongoing projects include the nanjing-ma'anshan intercity railway (ma'anshan section), chaohu-ma'anshan intercity railway, urban renewal and development in huashan district's xiushan area, comprehensive ecological environment governance in yushan district's xiangshan area, and others. the nanjing-ma'anshan intercity railway project is a landmark pioneering project to implement the national strategy of integrated development in the yangtze river delta region, promote ma'anshan's deep integration into the nanjing metropolitan area, and achieve integrated development between nanjing and ma'anshan. it has great strategic significance for further implementing the strategy of higher-quality integrated development in the yangtze river delta region and promoting ma'anshan's comprehensive connect with the yangtze river delta and deep integration into the nanjing metropolitan area. by then, anhui will have added a new "golden channel" integrating into the yangtze river delta, promoting high-quality economic development in both anhui and jiangsu provinces.
