on december 18th, the 3rd china (huangshan) huizhou-style ancient architecture industry development conference, hosted by the huangshan municipal party committee, huangshan municipal government, and anhui provincial department of housing and urban-rural development, was held in tunxi district, huangshan city. the theme of this conference was "inheriting huizhou-style ancient architecture, promoting innovative integration and development." it included a keynote session, a dialogue on the protection, inheritance, and development of urban and rural historical and cultural heritage, a forum on promoting the huizhou ancient architecture industry and beautiful rural construction, a forum on advancing high-quality development of the ancient architecture industry and field investigations. academician xiao xuwen from the chinese academy of engineering and academician chang qing from the chinese academy of sciences delivered keynote speeches. during the conference, the unveiling ceremony of the huizhou ancient architecture industry college was held. the first edition of the "technical specifications for fire prevention of huizhou-style architectural timber structures" and the "starry sky" album of ancient villages in southern anhui were also released. seventeen cities from yunnan, guizhou, hunan, and other provinces formed cooperative partnerships for the protection and development of traditional villages, and jointly issued the "huangshan initiative." the conference also held a signing ceremony, with 16 projects signed on-site, with a total investment agreement of 2.84 billion yuan. among them, there were four cooperative projects related to huizhou ancient architecture and twelve physical projects. eleven projects had an investment agreement exceeding 100 million yuan, and ten projects came from the yangtze river delta region.
