on november 1st, the reporter learned from the hefei municipal postal administration that hefei aims to establish the 'china express demonstration city.' by 2025, hefei aims to develop a high-quality modern service system that aligns with the city's positioning and level of socio-economic development. with the rapid development of e-commerce, the volume of express delivery has been continuously increasing. according to the administration, from january to september 2023, hefei's monthly express delivery volume exceeded 100 million parcels, ranking eighth nationwide and third among eastern provincial capital cities. therefore, it is crucial to construct a highly efficient express delivery hub with top-tier processing capacity. hefei will support and guide express delivery companies to increase their investment in the city, connect with the yangtze river delta region, establish regional centers, supply chain centers, data centers, call centers, and more, to stimulate the development of related industries and unleash the industrial cluster effect. simultaneously, express delivery companies will be encouraged to optimize the layout of distribution centers and accelerate digitalization and intelligent transformation, enhancing the hub's capabilities. it is projected that by 2025, efforts will be made to build and operate three or more major infrastructure projects for express delivery. the total volume of express delivery in the city is expected to reach 1.6 billion parcels, generating an income of 11 billion yuan from express delivery services, serving an average of 8 million users per day, and at least six express delivery companies with an annual revenue exceeding 1 billion yuan will be cultivated.
