on march 28, the first phase of the 650mw photovoltaic project, which is part of a comprehensive base for wind power, solar power, and energy storage in the southern part of fuyang city, anhui province, and is invested by china three gorges corporation and jointly contracted and constructed by china energy engineering group anhui electric power design institute and china energy construction group, was fully connected to the grid. the project, which has an overall construction scale of 650,000 kilowatts (with a first-phase construction scale of 250,000 kilowatts), is located in yingshang county, fuyang city, anhui province. it is the world's largest floating photovoltaic power station project that comprehensively utilizes idle water surface in mining subsidence areas. the project, which covers an area of approximately 13,000 acres, fully utilizes the idle water surface in mining subsidence areas to reduce evaporation, suppress the growth of microorganisms in the water, thereby achieving the purification of water quality, and achieving long-term protection of the surrounding water environment. while optimizing the ecological environment, the photovoltaic components are laid out reasonably on the water surface to absorb solar energy and generate electricity, forming a "fishery-photovoltaic complementary" model. it is reported that after the completion of the project, the average annual power generation capacity can reach 710 million kilowatt-hours, saving about 228,000 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 600,000 tons per year, which is of great significance for optimizing the energy structure of resource-based cities, protecting the ecological environment, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and promoting the development of photovoltaic technology.
