on march 6th, the cppcc members from anhui attending the 1st session of the 14th national cppcc conference participated meetings in their respective panels and discussed the government work report. the members unanimously agreed that the government work report has set a clear direction, reviewed achievements in a truthful and pragmatic manner, and established scientific and reasonable goals, which is a good report that coordinates overall planning, seeks pragmatic truth, and opens up new horizons. the report includes a series of encouraging numbers, such as china's gdp increase to 121 trillion yuan, with an annual average growth rate of 5.2% in the past five years; victory has been achieved in the battle against poverty, and nearly 100 million rural poor have been lifted out of poverty. these numbers have become vivid footnotes to the past five years, which were extremely unusual and extraordinary. in the past five years, china has achieved historic progress and undergone historic changes in economic and social development, which is fundamentally attributed to general secretary xi jinping's guidance and leadership as well as the scientific guidance of xi jinping thought on socialism with chinese characteristics for a new era. this is a vivid demonstration that the "two establishes" provide the greatest certainty, confidence and assurance in overcoming any and all difficulties and uncertainties. the members stated that this year marks the beginning of fully implementing the spirit of the 20th national congress of the communist party of china. they emphasized the importance of focusing tightly on the arrangements and deployments, as well as clear goals and tasks laid out in the 20th cpc national congress and the government work report, and earnestly shoulder the responsibility of "performing duties for the country and fulfilling responsibilities for the people." they will put forth their best efforts in providing suggestions and advice and building consensus, and contribute their wisdom and power to the comprehensive construction of a socialist modern country and the great rejuvenation of the chinese nation.
