in order to enhance cultural exchange between anhui and guangdong provinces, the two regions will jointly organize the "the charm of lingnan and jianghuai - excellent drama exhibition of guangdong and anhui" event. from april 8th to 9th, the anhui zaifen huangmei art theater will perform huangmei opera plays "the immortal yang" and "female consort prince" at the guangdong friendship theater. 
"the immortal yang" is led by renowned huangmei opera performer han zaifen, with the collaboration of national first-class actors wu bin and ma ding, and national second-class actors jiang lihui, chen bangliang, pan wei, and wang zexi, among others. the play depicts the communist party member yang kaihui's reflection on her short but resilient life and her vision for the bright future of the revolution. it artistically portrays yang kaihui as a brave female hero who "loves life and pursues truth." 
"female consort prince" is considered the representative play of huangmei opera and has been performed for decades with enduring popularity. on april 9th, this classic play, led by huangmei opera performer han zaifen, and featuring national first-class actor ma zijun, seasoned actor zhang yinwang, and national second-class actors wang chenchen, zhang min, ma teng, and wang zexi, along with other talented performers, will be splendidly staged at the guangdong friendship theater. in addition to the performances, the anhui zaifen huangmei cultural art theater will also conduct on-site visits and learning activities at the guangdong cantonese opera institute. they will engage in discussions with experts and actors from the institue on promoting theatrical development and facilitating interaction and exchange between cantonese opera and huangmei opera. meanwhile, the two sides will sign a cooperation agreement and plan to carry out regular theater cultural exchange and collaboration over the next three years, organizing periodic performances and exchanges between the two theaters.
