during the 24th china international fair for investment and trade, the haike commerce roundtable europe special session, hosted by the people's government of anhui province and organized by the department of commerce of anhui province, was held in xiamen on the afternoon of september 8th. it has been reported that over the past decade, anhui has been one of the fastest-growing provinces in china's economy and has become an emerging industrial and manufacturing powerhouse. from january to july this year, anhui's total import and export volume ranked 9th nationwide and 1st among the central provinces; its actual foreign investment volume ranked 7th nationwide and 1st among the central provinces; foreign direct investment has been higher than the national average for 20 consecutive months, ranking 7th nationwide and 1st among the central provinces. notably, foreign-invested enterprises, which account for 0.37% of the total number of enterprises in the province, contributed 21.6% of the province's import and export, 6.3% of tax revenue, and 1.8% of urban employment positions, making a significant contribution to the province's economic development. from january to july this year, our province's total import and export volume with europe reached 103.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.88%. in the future, as the development of anhui's top ten emerging industries accelerates, it will provide a richer range of innovative application scenarios and create a large number of production service demands. enterprises in research and development design, financial services, cargo transportation, vocational training, accounting, auditing, and other production services investing in anhui will have vast business opportunities.
