how can a poor and backward small mountain village rise to become a national 4a-level tourist attraction with just pomegranates? on november 30th, our reporter visited the liuyuan community in lieshan town, lieshan district, huaibei city in anhui to explore the "secret of prosperity" in the mountains. 
in recent years, the liuyuan community has adapted to local conditions, organized and established the taxian pomegranate professional cooperative, serving more than 20,000 mu of pomegranate planting areas for farmers. during the peak period of pomegranate fruiting, they implemented unified purchase, packaging, and sales of pomegranates, and helped farmers sell more than 10,000 tons of pomegranates every year. in 2023, the per capita net income of farmers in the cooperative exceeded 23,000 yuan. in addition, the liuyuan village has a history of pomegranate cultivation for thousands of years, and its long-standing pomegranate culture has become an important driver for the development of cultural tourism in the area. as the core area of the four seasons pomegranate garden scenic area, the liuyuan community has vigorously developed rural tourism. 
in the future, the liuyuan community will continue to plan and expand the pomegranate industry chain, build a comprehensive scenic spot integrating picking, playing, sightseeing, and leisure, promote the integration of agricultural and tourism industries.
