the revenue from the new display industry ranks second in the country, while the photovoltaic manufacturing industry's revenue ranks third. anhui has been accelerating the creation of an emerging industry hub. from 2013 to 2023, the output value of the province's strategic emerging industries grew by more than 15% annually, with their share of the industrial output value above designated size increasing from 20.7% to 42.9%. from january to august this year, this proportion further increased to 43.8%. adhere to the development direction of clustering, following the path of "leading enterprises - industrial chain - industrial cluster - industrial ecology," anhui promotes the clustering and momentum building of emerging industries. in the field of new energy vehicles, while developing and expanding local automakers such as chery and jac group, successful efforts have been made to attract major vehicle manufacturers like volkswagen, nio, and byd to set up operations in the province. from january to august this year, the total production of new energy vehicles in the province reached 937,000 units, ranking second in the country. anhui persists on the path of "science and innovation plus industry," leveraging the rich resources in science and innovation to facilitate the service of innovative resources for industries and their concentration towards enterprises. future industries are the leading force of new quality productive forces. anhui has taken early steps in planning the development of future industries, formulating and implementing construction plans for future industry pilot zones. the province aims to establish around ten pilot zones in fields such as general artificial intelligence, quantum technology, aerospace information, low-carbon energy, advanced materials, and humanoid robotics.
